Reading the signal from the COM and pause the playlist

Hello,
I'm currently testing a radio station with RadioDJ that is part of a national network. Some programs, particularly the news broadcasts at various times, are integrated into our schedule via a device called the Extremer. This device receives the news signal through a web or streaming address (though I'm not entirely sure about that). Regardless, that detail isn't crucial. The Extremer contains a relay that activates when the network sends the signal. geometry dash lite
We have a 9-pin serial connection from the Extremer (which provides a COM output that detects the relay closure) along with the audio output. Is it possible for RadioDJ to "read" the signal from the COM and pause the playlist to let the audio signal through? Or would this require an external plugin to achieve?
