Bulk Loudness

Quuestion does bulk loudness affect only the filesin the database or does it change the physical files volume?

Ive set it analyse and now some of my fies are loud than others and some are quiet is there anyway to undo the changes

Last I knew my files were already volume levelled I don't want to have to go through the pain of reripping files
