Issues with .WMA lossless Cue Points (2.049)

Q103_DJ

Hello, I'm new to RadioDJ. I just started with version 2.049. For the price, the software has much to offer!  ;)  One of the major bugs I've found is the cue points for next song start and end for most of my songs that are WMA files are absent. I copied the tracks from most of my CDs to lossless WMA 10-15 years ago, since they are smaller than WAV files, but still sound nearly as good. The rest of my library is mostly mp3. These aren't a problem, it's only the WMA files that have issues with the cue points automatically being generated. My library cue points are set to: start level -25 db, next start level- -9, and end level- -20. Yes, I do like tight segues. Has anyone else experience the same issue?

RadioDJ may not support lossless WMA file. It is not listed in the "Supported File Format" information.

Quote: "Compatible audio formats: mp3, wav, wma, flac, ac3, etc (additional formats can be added by using BASS add-ons from un4seen.com website);"

File Formats

An alternative may be to convert files to WMA or mp3 or mp4?

Hi Kiwi, it seems like you're getting a bit confused. As stated on the Radiodj home page: "Supported File Formats

    Compatible audio formats: mp3, wav, wma, flac, etc;", so you're saying WMA isn't supported? I have some, and they work great with all the cue points set. I'm just trying to replace them with FLAC, as the latter sounds better.

@Plauri,

No I'm saying "lossless" WMA files are not supported. WMA files are.. I believe there is a difference?

I'm not very familiar with WMA files and, as I said, I'm trying to replace them, but I don't think there's a difference between lossy and lossless in terms of compatibility. Can someone more experienced confirm?

Despite there are all WMA there are difference between them, some software can play them some not.
I believe they are encoded with a different codec.
