USB sound cards switching randomly in latest RadioDJ version

Hello everyone,

I'm currently experiencing a very serious issue with the latest version of RadioDJ.

My setup:

RadioDJ latest release

2x USB sound cards generated by my digital console (AxelTech 3000D)

Output configured to play through USB sound card #1 in RadioDJ settings

The problem:
RadioDJ works fine at first, but after some time (sometimes after 1 day, 2 days, or even less), it randomly switches the output to the other USB sound card without any action from me. When this happens, the broadcast output is lost and I end up with dead air for several hours on air.

This issue never happened with previous versions of RadioDJ — only the latest version seems to cause this behavior with the sound cards.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a workaround or a fix for this problem?
It's quite critical since it directly affects the on-air signal.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

So it's not exactly the same problem, because I can clearly see the cards, except that RadioDJ, while playing, suddenly decides to switch output without us asking it to! But maybe it's related, I'll try the old bass.dll solution to see if that fixes the problem, thanks you

One solution was in the computer's properties, renaming the cards, it worked

Just for your information, changing the names of the sound card outputs in Windows didn't solve my problem. A day later, for some unknown reason, it decided to change again, which caused a huge one-hour blank on FM and on the internet. I'm going to try the other techniques I saw, like replacing the RadioDJ.exe executable with the old 2045 version, and so on.

To keep you updated, I tried replacing the Radiodj file from version 2049 with the one from 2045, but the issue of the sound card switching randomly during live broadcast still continues. I had renamed the USB sound card outputs as AUTOMATE and OTHERS, but the problem wasn't solved. If I replace the Bass.dll files, Radiodj won't launch anymore... It's really annoying, as it crashes our community FM radio station very regularly. I should have stayed on version 2.0.0.6, which I'd been using since 2022... That's why I didn't want to update in the first place. The problem is that I can't roll back, otherwise I'll lose all the hours of work I put into optimizing the music library, event rotations, etc. Just for your info, the PC is running Windows 10. Do you have any other ideas to fix this problem once and for all? Thanks.

Hey @manu00 , just to be sure that i get it, did you tried with v2049 and v2015 and the issue is the same?
