Suggestions for a sound card

The system I am using has a NVIDIA(R) on board sound card and I have two low end Creative cards installed, but I have been unable to direct the AUX PLAYERS and CUE to anything except the 'Main' output.

So I went shopping for a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 zs like the one I have on another computer and discovered they are not available.  I like it because everything works, it sounds good (to me), and it has front panel in/outputs.  But, apparently it is no longer available.

Bearing in mind that I can spend about $200 (and the cheaper the better), I would appreciate suggestions of what might work well with RadioDJ.

Do you have the correct drivers installed for the soundcards rather than generic Windows drivers? This may be the reason you can't assign them...

I'd suggest spending $30 on virtual Audio cables. I'm fed up with onboard and PCI soundcards letting me down.

You will be able to route all the audio properly without too much hassle. You can still have a mixer routed through the line in which VAC will pick the audio up from as well.

I know it's probably what you didn't want to hear but it's only advice.

I did finally separate the signals.  The problem was that "stereo mix" was selected.  The setup is really great now.  I have Aux Players and Cue going to one input of a Sony Digital Audio/Video Control Center, the Main Audio of RDJ to another input, and Air on another input.  I just push a button and monitor what I need to hear.

I am going to look into Virtual Audio Cables before I go live with this setup.  I have heard good thing about that from other sources.

Thank you both.

Maybe you can try this: free VAC from Omnia!!!

Thank you copper007 for those links.  I will try it out.  I downloaded the trial of VAC but the documentation I have found is somewhat pathetic and I will have to experiment with it when I have more time available.
