Encoder Dialog Plugin 1.0
« on: July 15, 2013, 08:39:34 PM »
This is something I made for fun and I hope you enjoy using it as much as I did making it.

This is the same as Encoder Plugin 2.1, only it is a dialog box instead of nested. This would be useful if your zones are getting kind of full and would like the extra space inside RDJ. It uses the same encoders and server list as the nested version, so no need to re-do anything. If you decide to try it, disable the Plugin_Encoder.dll (move to another folder) to avoid conflicts and place the attached files in the plugin folder. You can assign one of the buttons at the bottom of RDJ for quick access.

Enjoy!  ;D

Will give it a shot tomorrow

Any other instructions for install other than disabling the current encoder plugin?

No, it's an even swap. It uses the exact same files, configs and everything....

Yes. Remeber to move Plugin_Encoder.dll to another folder or just rename it Plugin_Encoder.bak or something. The dialog can be accessed through the RDJ plugin list under Options.

Nice work J  :ok:

Just installed it Started RadioDJ and everything is working as it should. It's not complained once. It even connected without freezing the program.

Tip for those who haven't got it as a button at the bottom of RDJ just go to options > Plugins and highlight  some encoder and click show and it will open in it's own window.

Been running this for a few days now with no major problems. The broadband connection dropped earlier and RadioDJ didn't lock up like it used to It froze for about 30 seconds and then carried on as usual without the encoders being connected. it's a lot better than it was.

I must admit I'm a bit surprised how well it works. It was an interesting project to get working and I learned a lot from it. :)
