Testing on the Win7 64bit box today and so far so good everything is running smooth as.  Not even so much as a hiccup.

It's just given me a "watchdog" error on one of my jingles.

Opened the jingle in audacity to see what was what. Removed the second or so of silence from the beginning of it re-saved the jingle and edited the cue points, I will keep an eye on the situation.


*Update* It's just done it on a song. checked the cue points and everything was fine.

It's baffling as to why it's just started happening now after RDJ has been on air for just over 6 hours.

The watchdog also triggered old double play issue, or it just started the new track?

There was no double play it just continued playing as normal. I think I need to rip the mp3 file again as it's the only song it's done it on.

If it didn't triggered the double play, it's not a real problem. Until the double play issue appeared the watchdog wasn't logged, even if from time to time was doing it's job, so most users have not been aware about it.
There are tracks with sudden end where the cue next is very close to the end and from my tests, those tracks sometimes don't have the time to trigger the next track and the watchdog kicks in.

we had the problem where there was a dead end on song with no fade or nothing and it would trigger so now i have the engneer check all song thats place in the database and also place cue point on all track from this point on so we don't have any issue from the watch dogg

I will add soon to the utility plugin the option to bulk re-cue the tracks (requested by KingsbridgeRadio) and onece i will have that code it will be simple to add also a cue points analyzer and to display tracks with possible problems.

Great to read updates on development progress, Marius.

Unfortunately tonight RDJ v1.6.5.7 beta froze after startup. It might be because I had plugged earphones in front panel since last launch and removed them right after starting RDJ. Now it is still frozen with white overlay and (Not responding) in window title. One hint might be that the VU meter displays full volume, but there is no sound from any output.

Process Explorer shows some CPU activity in RadioDJ.exe and most cycles are in RadioDJ.exe at offset 0x17069e

Doesn't meke much sense to me, but Marius might recognize something.
I can see .NET performance counters, but nothing seems out of place there.

I fired up Process Monitor to see what is going on and I see that RDJ is reading mp3 files, so obviously it is playing something.

I'll force close it an see what comes up in error details.

Now I get "Error starting sound engine!" error on startup and the VU meter displays same full volume. In settings all sound card output dropdowns are set to empty, but I can select devices.

After selecting right device, closing RDJ and relaunching, everything seems to be back to normal.

Just done a check on the track that played before the one that it said was causing the "watchdog" in error logs and it was another jingle with more silence than was needed at the beginning so I've re-saved it without the excess silence. Hopefully that should sort it.

Looking forward to the bulk cue points analyzer! 

Going to keep the beta running most of today so will keep an eye out for anymore problems.

Been streaming for a few hours again today and now I've sorted the silence at the beginning of some of my jingles. The error log is looking OK just notifying me that my events have ran as they should, No watchdog errors and everything seems to be playing nicely.



So nothing to report really other than what I've previously mentioned with playlist builder. Just glad i got to the bottom of what was causing the "watchdog" in the first place.

Just from the tests I've been doing with this beta version it appears to me that it's running better on a windows 7 32bit box than it was yesterday on a windows 64bit box.  It kept freezing on the 64bit version where as it's running normally on 32bit. Don't know if that's down to the some encoder plugin or not TBH.

That aside it seems to be running like a charm no double plays it just works.
