Tag Synchronization - Cue Data

Started by Radiodork, March 28, 2014, 05:54:22 AM

Just completed the lengthy process of Tag Synchronization of all my 13,000 tracks from database to tags.

ALL fields were checked, INCLUDING CUE Data.

When checking the file ID3 tag data, I see no sign of any cue data.

Am I missing something?  Did I do something incorrectly? Did I misunderstand what the function does?

The cue information is stored in "MusicIpId".

i can't find that tag anywhere on any of the files..  nor have i heard of it.  how do i access it?

any way to dictate where the cue info is written?  or at least put it in the comments field so we can access it in extrenal programs?

better yet, to have the ability to place start, intro, and crossfade in tag location of our choice.  that would be great.

Try Kid3 tag editor that makes the field MusicIpId to see.

download from http://sourceforge.net/projects/kid3/files/latest/download?source=pdlp

The field/Box shows like:   MusicIp PUID       &sta=0.381541950113379&xta=116.494353741497&end=117.666349206349&fin=0&fou=1.17199546485261

If there are cue points.
grtz.

ps. Perhaps the topic http://www.radiodj.ro/community/index.php?topic=4274.msg24732#msg24732 is interesting (The quote part).

that works.  thank you,

Has anyone found a useful way to edit cue point in an external program?  with 13,000 cuts, the process within RadioDJ is a little more involved than i'd like.  at least for bulk and batch editing.  Cut by cut it's fine.  but i have a core of several thousand songs i'd like to get ready for smooth operation (The automatic settings are VERY good, BTW. A great starting point!)

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but...

I agree. Great starting point. But I already went through this process with 25k+ tracks in SAM, only to find I could not import them into RDJ.  :( I too dread the thought of track by track setting intro and outro's. Wish there was a DB import or something.
