.Net Crash after four hours playing
« on: July 21, 2014, 12:36:53 PM »
Hi all,

I upgraded my Radio DJ version this weekend to the 1.7.1 version. It all works fine for about four hours each session. Then a popup window appears saying there is a .net problem. After that the system halts. Music is still playing, but i can't do anything. RadioDJ won't stop, and i can't press the button that produces the error log. When i restart the system everything is fine for about three to four hrs and then it stalls again. Is there another way to find an error log?

I'm running a Win7 64 system with .net 4.5 installed.

I wish i could. The system halts and it is impossible to retrieve the error log right away. Is there another way to find those dotnet errors in a log on the system? I mean, after i rebooted the system?

Event Viewer > Custom Views > Administrative Events (double click)
That's where the windows is keeping the logs.

Marius, thanks. I have found the error log.

It says the following:

 Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (10061): Server did not respond within the specified timeout interval (TRUNCATE `queuelist`; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '12660', `artist` = 'Rolling Stones'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '13919', `artist` = 'Hollies'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '15777', `artist` = 'Unknown Artist'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '15823', `artist` = 'Willemijn May'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '34209', `artist` = 'Sam & Dave'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '13365', `artist` = 'Aquagen'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '15428', `artist` = 'The Clash'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '12701', `artist` = 'Gramophonedzie'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '15778', `artist` = 'Unknown Artist'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '15792', `artist` = 'Digitzz'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '29649', `artist` = 'Booker T & The MG''s'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '13710', `artist` = 'Shania Twain'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '13404', `artist` = 'The Kooks'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '13866', `artist` = 'Elton John'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '15387', `artist` = 'Starship'; INSERT INTO `queuelist` SET `songID` = '12947', `artist` = 'Little Things Kill'; )

So if i am right, RadioDJ can't connect to the database. Is that true? And how can i resolve it? After all, RadioDJ runs normally for about four hours...

In database setup try sticking the SQL port number at the end of 127.0.0.1:3306 if that's the port SQL is on or try localhost:3306 click validate if it's green it means it's seeing your SQL server.

It may also be worth while increasing max_connections in the configuration of MySQL .ini file.

Did that already. Didn't work. But.... I've upgraded MySQL and haven't had a crash since. Fingers crossed...
