Cue points not being saved

Hi.. I'm new to RadioDJ and this forum.  I did search and did find some posts about my problem, but nothing fixed it.  I am using RadioDJ 1.7.7.0.  I have setup my MySQL server and all was working perfect.  When I try to set a CUE point now (Intro, etc) it does not save.  I've tried to upgrade to RadioDJ 1.7.8.0 and same outcome.  I created a new database and a new instance of RadioDJ and am still not able to save the CUE points.  I know I was able to do this before as a couple of songs do have them saved.  Do you have any suggestions on how to better troubleshoot this issue?

Thank you to all in advance.

Possible causes:

1 - You are using TeamViewer to look at the computer you are using to set Cuepoints
2 - Your Windows Font Size is not set to 100%
3 - Your database has tables with errors in it. Possibly your table-formats aren't up-to-date
4 - Your database-user has insufficient rights to write to the songs-table.

I can rule out number 3 because you said you've installed a fresh version. Numbers 2 and 1 are possible cadidates but number 4 is usually the cause. Make sure that your database-user can modify structures, tables and data in your database. Re-check it before dismissing it as a cause, since it has caused multiple searches for problems and in the end it turned out to be.. the permissions..

Thank you very much for the troubleshooting steps.  I checked the user for the database and it does have full rights... but I created a new user too and tested.... still failed.  The 100% font size was a very interesting thought because I'm using a virtual system that resizes the resolution according to the end users PC.  I did test that I believe rule that out also.  I am not using Teamviewer to access it either... any other ideas... I'm kinda stumped at what could be wrong and don't want to have to start over from scratch.  Are there any logs that I could refer to?

That's interesting.. I sometimes couldn't edit the cuepoints at all due to some visual settings. Either a virtual server, wrong font-size-settings, enabled Windows Aero-themes or simply taking over a pc with TeamViewer. I take it you are RDP-ing into the machine to edit the cuepoints? Have you tried editing cuepoints using RadioDJ connected to the same database but with a 'real' pc? If that works, you can rule out database-issues..

I'm really confused now... I just installed a totally new MySQL server, downloaded a new copy of RadioDJ and did the setup from scratch and cannot get CUE points to set... There is no logic at this point... (also this test I did RadioDJ on a physical machine)

Here's another thing I just tried... If I select "Save waveform data with the audio file" the CUE point will save.. BUT.. it will not show in RadioDJ... so although it's there in the CUE editor, it's not there when I play the song or view it in the tracks manager...

YES you can look over team viewer!  Just tell me what to do... I'll check the silence remover in the interim.

ACamaione

Silence remover was checked.. unchecked it and still same result.

ACamaione, i connected to your computer, but you didn't responded (you were not there?)
I tried to add intro marker to some tracks (Ace of Base), saved and opened again and the cue were in place, so i'm not sure how to reproduce the issue you have.

I'm sorry.. I had to run out... I looked at all the songs and none of them had an intro cue point set.. can we set a time and I will make certain that I am in front of the computer?

Marius

I didn't let the intros. Send me a pm when you are online.
