Is 1.8.2 a final release? We're looking to update from 1.7.5 and need to do some database work? Is this a good stable release to use?

There's a new version being worked on & v1.8.2 is the current build. Its stable and reliable.

The next version will be out soon Marius assures us its in its final testing.

If I was the writer I'd name it version 3. Because people have been anticipating so long for the next version, and that will start again when the next version is released that I'd just skip 1 or 2 version numbers and give them the "next anticipated version" right away...

What's in a version number... nothing. Except that it differentiates the previous version from the latest one....

Yes a number is a number :-)

But when you set the first number higer, it is usually updated UI and many new features., if you update the 2nd digi and so on, then it usually are bugfixes and minor new functions.

Oh well, it was just the get a feeling if it was "near" or... next year :-)

I'm looking forward to a new release.  I was only thinking this morning when I got up there has not been a new update for a long time.  I see there is no Beta area on this forum anymore, is this a new strategy by Marius? I know before to get to 1.8.2 he had a lot of heartache and time spent getting to that stage.

It seems like this time all the hard work is being done offline then it will just be then released to the world?

Thanks once again for RDJ, gave me a passion again for Radio and using my PC again .

I am having a bit of a problem with the new radio dj
the stream id only allows me to go up to 100000
and my stream id is way higher than that
im a shoutcast v2 user if that's any help

Edit the Plugin_Encoders_List.xml file where it says <streamID>0</streamID> enter your stream ID there and click save.

(Edit the .xml file using Word Pad)

Restart RadioDJ for changes to take effect.
