Questions regarding Monitor V1.1
« on: August 14, 2015, 09:15:58 PM »
Hello.

I'm currently using Monitor V1.1.

I do connect perfectly on the local computer which also runs RadioDJ (127.0.0.1:7000), however I'm not sure how I connect using another computer (on the same local network).

It should be possible to connect locally without having to do a portforward, correct? If so, how?
Or am I completely lost behind a door right now?  :D

As long as the program resides on the same computer, no port forwarding is necessary, but if you use different computers even in the same network, you must open the used port of the rdj computer in the windows firewall and any other possible firewalls between them.

Ok, I've already portforwarded my router, however this still doesn't seem to work (connecting to my IP).
Should the REST Server be setup like this - http://externalIP:7000/?

Also I guess I have to open the port on my Win10 PC running RDJ, correct?
Thank you.

EDIT: I got it working after I opened the port on the PC it had to connect to.
Thanks again.
