Problem with Teaser Plugin and TuneIn API
« on: October 11, 2015, 07:12:22 PM »
The TuneIn API accepts artist and title data and in turn displays the information and artwork in its player app.

I have found that when using the Teaser Plugin, this breaks the correct function of the TuneIn API

I suspect it has something to do with the teaser sending artist and title info for bother the "transition" sound file as well as the teased track info.

The TuneIn API docs state that multiple requests in short space should not be sent, else the user may get blocked.

I have tried to work around this by putting static text to be sent with the teaser under Options/Stream Titles, but this hasn't really helped.

In order to get the TuneIn API working again, I have to restart RDJ and play a track with good artist and title info sent to the API and all works again until the next teaser event, at which point the API breaks again.

This is not a huge problem for me as I can just stop using the teaser plugin in, but for others it may be a problem if they want to use the plugin with the API.
