Autoclose RadioDJ
« on: February 05, 2016, 01:34:06 AM »
Hello peeps,

If possible i would like a hand of help for a problem that i have on latest program of RadioDJ. Time to time RadioDJ closes and i cant figure whats the reason.
I have windows 10 atm but had this problem also on windows 7. I dont have a crash but for some reason the program close. I cant see how the program closes because i am not on station at this time.

Is there something that i can check to figure the problem? Any windows report or something and where i can get such info?

I'd say check the Windows Error Logs, I don't have Windows 10, so I couldn't begin to tell you how to find them on it, you'll just have to Google it... :-[

That is rather strange I've not heard of anyone else reporting this problem.

Like Capt_fuzzy said check the windows error logs for anything RadioDJ related and see what info that gives you.

Do you have any scheduled tasks running around the time that RadioDJ tries to close? Or anti-virus software that might be interfering with the smooth running of the program.

I found on Windows Reports that i got errors for downloading content for windows and an error says that Windows was not able to restart. The errors were close to the time of my problem. I disable downloads and anything that has to do with windows so i think that i have to wait!

Ahhh OK! So it's more an environmental issue with Windows rather than a RadioDJ problem.   :bash:

Don't really know what to suggest other than turning off windows update (which it looks like you've done anyway) so it only runs when you want to check for updates.

If anyone else knows of any tips?? Feel free to share! A problem solved is a problem halved after all.

I find that Windows Update, regardless of which version you are using, does sometimes mess with RadioDJ.
I'm with Gary, but I'd add one little tidbit to that, don't forget about updating your Windows, you should still get the important updates, you will just have to do it manually, i.e., running Windows Update when you have time to sit down and watch it, if it asks to reboot, just click 'no' or 'later', what ever comes up, until you can safely shut down RadioDJ and complete the update.
