Just to update my post above regarding the Mutual News Service...
Unfortunately, it seems Mr. Ashcraft can't decide what he wants to be when he grows up. He did re-start his Mutual news service, only to
again pull the plug after a couple of months, leaving affiliates with no news (most of them commercial stations playing bartered spots). He immediately followed this venture with a "weather service," to record localized forecasts. Mr. Ashcraft then got tired of that after a couple of months and quit, again, leaving his paid affiliates high and dry.
Now, he's promoting himself as a voiceover service.
Noticing the pattern, I told him we'd be happy to use him for liners.... if we could rely on him BEING there for any length of time. He was batting 000. Instead of explaining himself, he private messaged me with profanity.
Fortunately, I have since learned there are real (established) networks out there, with content (including news) for Part 15 stations.
Verified FREE for Part 15 useSome suppliers may require you to sign-up and/or sign affidavits, but it's FREE and you don't have to worry about them going away.
