"cue selected file"

Hello,

I wanted to know what this shortcut "Cue selected file" does? I understand that it's for previewing the selected song in the search view (while "Add selected file" adds it to the playlist), and this functionnality is really useful... but it seems that it doesn't work :(

Did I miss something?

Thanks for your answers!

You have to select an audio device or output for use previews. When you don;t do anything at install, all audio outputs going to the same output so when you preview a track while a broadcast is running, you will hear the preview while you are broadcasting it. The safest and easy thing to do is select main audio ( program ) to the Front speakers, select the preview to the rear speakers if you have those.

I am using 2 audio devices, the main on board audio is broadcast, the second audio board is a PCI Terratec 5.1 Fun and the main output from that board is preview and windows sounds. The rear i can use for aux players if i need to.

That's what I've done, but pressing the key I affected to this shortcut does not trigger anything. :/

Just to be sure, in the playlist you see the tracks. You press the first button of the three on the right is it?

I can't find the cue selected button other than the preview button of each track.

Now i understand :D .... i don't use the shortcuts in this case because RadioDJ is my radio autoation so i use the mouse. It should work though. If you select the track you want to preview and pres the C in your case, it should work allthough i can understand why it won't work with only the C. Maybe you can choose another letter like the insert key.

I tried with many keys, but it does not work :( It's probably a bug, don't you think so? If it is, then I hope it will be corrected in the upcoming version, because using the keyboard, for me, is as practical as using a midi touchpad to trigger some samples :)

Don't think so!
Was pressent in version 1.8.1, but removed in 1.8.2.
Think Marius forgot to remove it from the shortkeys.

ps. see the !ReadMe.txt in the radiodj folder.
