[SOLVED] Quite urgent request: Teaser plugin configuration?

Hi everyone,

I'm about to open my website and my webradio in a few days. And I discovered something strange, more or less.
The teaser plugin seems to tease the next songs by starting from the bottom of the playlist.

In my case, I use the teaser to introduce new songs on the radio as it is often made. Here is my event:

Event "New songs" :
1- Add song from the "new songs" category at the top of the playlist
2- Call Teaser plugin.

I set the max number of tracks of the teaser to 1, so I can have after this event called, in my playlist:
a. Intro
b. Hook part of the upcoming song
c. Outro
d. Full song

The problem is that my rotation counts about 15-20 items. And some songs from other categories have also hooks cue points. And when one of them is in the playlist, the teaser plugin teases it whereas the new song I just added to the top, because it seems to read the playlist from the bottom.

My question:
Is it possible for the teaser plugin to read the playlist from the start? Or maybe I can change my way to proceed?

Have you enabled "Shuffle Teaser"? That could be the cause of your issue.

Shuffle means randomize, isn't it?

Yes, Shuffle means randomise, but teaser plugin is shuffling all tracks with hooks before selecting number of desired tracks - in your case it is one. So if there are two or more tracks with hooks in playlist, chances are the plugin will pick any of found tracks for teaser.
It makes no sense to shuffle teasers if you need just one teaser from first track in playlist. Turn shuffling off to see if that fixes the issue.

Shuffling is already off, so I will try to turn it on. Then, I will let you know if it works better here. Thanks.

No, shuffling should be turned off. If it was already off, then maybe there is a race condition and the track is not yet added to playlist when teaser plugin looks at tracks in playlist. Try adding a wait action after loading the track. A second should be enough for RadioDJ to prepare the track and add it to playlist.

OK it works now!

I didn't check the server yesterday night and I was trying to manage the teaser on my local computer. After checking the server configuration today, the checkbox "Shuffle" was checked.

After unchecking it, it works like a charm now!
