Adding Music File
« on: August 03, 2016, 08:27:56 PM »
I'm new to RadioDJ and interested in checking the program out. I've used Sam B since it came out. My question is, My genre is rock and I like to separate my music into different files (80's Metal, Grunge, New Rock, Ballads) Could someone explain how to make the different file folders for the different genres. I looked for a video but no luck, unless someone else knows of one. Thank you for your help  ;)

You add categories an create sub categories with the category manager from the options menu.

Then you import the music you want in those categories using either track/folder import.

Hope that helps.

You don't need to have music in different folders. Just 1 folder is good enough. You will add genres, categories, etc in Music manager. But for the sake of easier import you are free to structure the folders as you wish. Then you can import a whole folder or multiple folders at once.
But. Music should be in 1 category named music. You are free to use as many sub categories as you want and as many genres as you want.

It will take time to learn how RDJ works but you will be happy if you stick with us. ;)
