64-Bit Windows 10 Compatibility Question
« on: March 22, 2017, 05:57:33 PM »
Hello everyone,

I am contemplating on upgrading my whole netcast system from a 32 bit Windows 7 running on an old XP box to a "gently used 5-year-old, 64 bit PC with Windows 10.

My question is: does RadioDJ come in 32 and 64-bit flavors? If it's a 32 based application and it's compatible to a 64-bit environment, does it matter if I install 64 bit MariaDB without any incompatibility between the two?

However, I would prefer to keep everything either 32 or 64 bit. Thanks in advance for your confirmations!

I use 64bit Win10 upgraded from 64bit Win7 and it works just fine for me.

Did the upgrade. Then I transferred a few albums, setup a test rotation and fired it up; it worked like a charm. I'm going to continue to transfer my tracks and I expect to be "on the air" with my new system by the end of this week!

Thanks!

However, funny you should mention that crazy update thing DJ Garybaldy! That was the first thing I've noticed when I was setting up the new system. There is no way (far as I know), to customize the updates like W7. W10 has a mind of its own! I think I will have to give my computer the nickname "Hal Junior 9000.
