Configuration Guide for Voicemeeter Potato with RadioDJ, Skype and Teams

Hi everybody,

I realized, that a lot of RadioDJ users have problems to configure Voicemeeter to work with RadioDJ and other software like Skype.
On Internet and on YouTube you find a lot of manuals and videos, how to do it.
But, in every manual or video they tell you different things, so after reading or watching them you get more and more confused.
So, I worked out my own way, tested everything and wrote this step by step guide.
I hope this guide will be useful for others.

You can download the PDF from my ONEDRIVE-Storage.

Thanks a lot Gary!

If you like, you can publish the link on your blog.
There is no harm to it, because the link is only for that guide...

I shall get round to blogging about it at some point when I get a  chance.

I champion Voicemeeter as it is.

Virtual sounds being used...

Its sounds good, then after a few minutes it starts sounding weird, like pecking and crashing and something like this. The sound becomes horrible and bad to listen.

The instructions in my manual are tested by myself and others. And it's working fine.
If you get distorted sound: In the manual is a section how to set the buffersize in Voicemeeter. If that instruction is not working for you, then I think you want too much on a single computer!
Maybe the CPU of your notebook is too slow or there is not enough RAM. Also possible that there are too many programs or services running in the background (that's also depending on the operating-system).

I agree with Calypso.
You are asking questions over questions instead of searching for existent solutions on this forum.
You don't have any plan - only an idea what you want to archive. And therefore you want to have someone that is giving you solution to any problem, that might appear. I didn't read anything about the hardware you are using. Only that you are using a notebook.

My tip to you:
Install ONE instance of RadioDJ, configure it until it's satisfying you.
Then expand it with the next instance... and so on.
So you will see, when your hardware is on or over limit.
For example: My Apache-Server, MariaDB and my Icecast-Server are running on a Raspberrry Pi 4 with 8GB RAM in my home-network and not on the Notebook with RadioDJ, because my notebook I used to test RadioDJ and Voicemeeter to write the manual was a bit too slow.

You might also get some answers from the video's of Roderick Carter here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXrfDEFrGznpgZSJJ_OJvWg

Or, you hire someone that will put your ideas into practice.
Good Luck...

Thank you.

About your tips, welcome, actually i ve been following the first since the beginning, the second tip is what i was thinking about yesterday even before posting, but maybe it was about a wrong thing, it runs okay, audio good, then after minutes it becomes distorting.

Im gonna look again at the manual and try to find a way, im am "autodidata" . I leanr, then, and i do.
