AI for Artificial Radio

As the title suggests, AI is coming to us in ALL directions from text to Art for amazing pictures, Deep Fake Videos of almost everything now and Chat GPT for text to code and actual writing of speeches, books or bios to interesting solutions for Radio.

Now for liners and VO,  the usual suspects of synthetic voices for time & Temp or liners, have been around for decades but most have sounded off, joltingly and to me don't really cut it.
   
But with these new AI offerings from the Artificial Realms, seems to be a game changer

I've been using Speecelo Blaster to generate voice tracks for a couple of years now. Several different voices to choose from. It's not an ideal solution, but for my station it sounds great. For the most part, I use it to generate local weathercasts. I use the data provided by Mike Singer's Weather Watcher, which can generate a printed script, then convert it to audio in Speechelo. I've even given my AI voices names to use "on air."

I have been using AI voices for my online radio station set in a video game's sci-fi universe for years. The best voices I found (though pricey) are from WellSaid Labs from Seattle. Recently I've had ChatGPT writing scripts for the news on the hour, jingles, sweepers, teasers and different commercials for companies and organizations in that universe.

Make no mistake, AI very soon is going to disrupt everything radio related in a big way and it has allowed me to create this very niche station. By the end of the decade I predict most commercials and jingles will be done by AI, there will be a #1 pop song sung by AI and AI assisted production will be the norm for most music and audio content.

I only recently found ElevenLabs (company the original poster posted a Youtube commercial for). To my ear the ElevenLabs voices are not as good as WellSaid Labs and I am not a fan of their pricing model which charges for retakes.

Also of interest to many here may be: RadioGPT - https://futurimedia.com/radiogpt which is an all-in-one AI solution for real world stations to provide AI generated live content based on what is going on in a local area via monitoring news feeds, social networks, etc.

I think you meant to say Jade (my name).

My workflow has been ChatGPT to generate scripts, various AI text-to-speech or sung lyric services to read scripts/sing jingles, AI music production, mixing and mastering webapps and rendering it all to audio files which can be imported into radio DJ in the appropriate categories ie: Teasers, Commercials, etc.

GPT4 is coming and it already will make a lot of this even easier and more self contained. For instance GPT4 can write music.
