How many tracks?

I'm intrigued to know how many tracks you have in your radio station collection.

I'm slowly building mine back up again after losing about 80GB of music 3 years ago.

Just about got back up to around 12,000+ tracks again. Stuff from the 50s right through to the Early 90s. Music seemed to get crap by the late 90s hence why I don't play a great deal from then.

How many categories have you split your stuff into?
Just how many tracks should a station ideally have?
How often do you repeat artist & titles?

It would be nice to know...... :ok:

My radio station network has 553 songs, 123 jingles and 500 other things...

We have two studios and we use autodj (centova cast) when no ones on the air, when someones on the air or theres a voicetracked show, the studios take over.

I really do not know how many tracks I have, of course I am an old goat.

I have about 100 singles and 80 LPs ( not the vinyl one's ), 120 cassete tapes (those little ones)
65 12 "tapes (tape deck) the big reals and of course also CDs and  78 RPM records

But I focus on the records from 1966 to 1977 the hippy time in all genres.
And then just the records that were not rotated frequently on the radio.

ps. I forget that I still have pc dat tapes (that was before the pc  CD player was there for backup's).

I haven't even made a stab in the dark when it comes to my Vinyl collection. Turntable should be hooked up again soon so i can start recording stuff again. Got about 600 7" singles and around 200 12" records & albums. Most of the LP's were my brothers punk collection which all needs recording.

I have some rare 60s & 70s stuff on this PC and I'm still adding to the collection when i hear something new that i haven't already got.

At last count my 50s 60s 70s collection on this PC totalled about 5000 tracks

I ditched my Sony mini disc collection about 12 years ago now only had something like 20 discs as it was old hat compared to having mp3's on the PC. Slowly doing the same with my DVD collection of storage they usually meet their maker with a pair of scissors....

Never had any DAT tapes!
