Title: RadioDJ v2.0.1.6 Beta Released!
Post by: Marius on June 13, 2019, 09:44:34 AM
CHANGES LIST:

- Implemented separate associated artist field in database to allow users to manually edit them [NEW];
- Implemented option to mass change the start/end date of selected tracks in tracks editor [NEW];
- Implemented custom duration value for fade stopping the cart players [NEW];
- Completed implementing translation files for Tracks Manager plugin controls;
- Completed implementing translation files for NowPlayingInfo plugin controls;
- Completed implementing translation files for Playlist Builder plugin controls;
- Completed implementing translation files for RadioDJ options;
- Completed implementing translation files for Notes plugin controls;
- Completed implementing translation files for Audio Processing plugins;
- Implemented metadata export for IceCast v2, ShoutCast v2 and TuneIN in NowPlaying Info plugin [NEW] (DISABLED TEMPORARY!);
- Updated main program code to reflect REGEX changes of MySQL v8 and later [NEW];
- Updated the program to the newest version of BASS sound engine [NEW];
- Updated plugin Utils GUI for better design integration with the rest of the program [NEW];
- Fixed category copying for event duplication;
- When an event is duplicated, the new name will contain also the "(COPY)" string [NEW];
- Events filters will be retained after refreshing the event list for the session [NEW];
- Minor bug fixes;

This version requires some database changes to improve query speed in MySQL v8+. The update files are located in "Setup\Sql" folder. There are two files, one for updating from v2.0.0.6 ("2.0.0.6 TO 2.0.1.6.sql") and one for updating from the latest beta ("2.0.1.5 TO 2.0.1.6.sql").

For testing purposes only you can install a new database and import fresh files. This also my recommended procedure, because i saw many times users which are running incomplete databases resulted from failed updates etc so these users may report errors which are not present in a normal install.

NOTES:

- There is a new feature named "associated artists" for better handling the tracks which have multiple artists. You can manually update this field on import, or you can run Utilities - Update Associated Artists, which will try to detect the artists. It is very important to not leave the associated field empty, or the artist separation will fail and will result in playing same artists more often than you set in the repeat rules.

- While the translations should cover all the visual texts, some tooltips are not translated yet. I'm still working on them.

Hi Guys,
If i use Maria DB the procedure in order to update database from 2.0.6 to 2.0.1.6. it is the same? Should i run the installer (for 2.0.1.6) over the folder where 2.0.6 is installed, and after that to follow the steps mentioned in Database Utility?
Thanks

Thanks Marius, but:
"For testing purposes only you can install a new database and import fresh files. This also my recommended procedure, because i saw many times users which are running incomplete databases resulted from failed updates etc so these users may report errors which are not present in a normal install."

It's ok testing a new db, but I'm still using 1.8.2 and the reason is in the last 5 years I have set more than 5000 intros, hooks in and out and I need them. No matter how many new events or rotations I have to set, but Intros are fundamental to me. Will ever be the chance to transfer db from 1.8.2 to the latest one?

Tonight I will start testing with a fresh install!

Just installed and upgraded with the patch.

First things I've noticed are

1) The AutoDJ button keeps switching itself back to manual
2) Because of the AutoDJ button its not keeping 20 tracks in the queue

These were noticed within 2 minutes of first run.

Gary, please check the windows logs. I suspect it has to do with skipping rotations, but i'm not sure at this time.

There's very little to go on in the Windows error logs only thing I could see was this.

AUTODJ ROTATION FROM REQUEST NOTICE: There were no available reqests when the playlist was generated!

I've just fired 2016 back up and the autodj button still keeps switching itself off. Its not refilling the playlist when it is on AutoDJ. Doesn't appear to matter how many times I flick auotdj back from manual nothing is loading into the queue.

Think you were onto something Marius. The rotations were screwed somehow as soon as I recreated them AutoDJ started playing as normal... PHEW!

Update: However it now keeps wanting to constantly load songs at the bottom of the queue that are already in the queue. Otis Redding is just an example of what's happening.

Fresh install with MariaDB/Win 10

Testing rotations with events and jingles.  Over 3000 songs for testing over the weekend.

Issue noticed:
Notes plugin when moved from disabled to plugins didn't show up so I took the notes dll and xml from 2.0.15 and is working now.

Thanks for the update Marius :cool:

That seems an incomplete database and would explain the repeating tracks/artists since the query fails. Can you run this query:

ALTER TABLE `queuelist`
ADD COLUMN `ETA` datetime DEFAULT '2002-01-01 00:00:01' AFTER `songID`;

Ran that query, Recreated Rotations from scratch and still I'm getting the same 2 songs trying to load into the queue it is also doing it with requested tracks.

I used the upgrade from 2006 to 2016 patch yesterday if that helps any.

https://djgarybaldy.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Screenshot_2019-06-14_09-12-54.png (https://djgarybaldy.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Screenshot_2019-06-14_09-12-54.png)

Been testing about 30/40 minutes so far and I'm out out of ideas. I really don't want to have to start a fresh new database if I can avoid it.

To make matters worse Windows event viewer isn't playing nicely so I can't check if there are any errors related to RDJ.

I updated from 206 to 2016 (Maria DB, Win10). I had the same issue with rotations as Gary but after i recreated them everything seems to work flawless.
Thanks for update, Marius!

I used the plugins from version 2.0.1.5 to 2.0.1.6 ex: Plugin_Utilities.dll, Plugin_Notes.dll and Plugin_PlaylistBuilder.dll for manual event

Running 2.0.1.6 Beta with MariaDB/Win10 since the weekend and checked Reports this morning.  All events and music and other audio elements triggered as planned.  Rotations, Events playing nice with nothing out of the range of what my settings were in options and rules etc.
So far only noticed cosmetics such as notes not showing, Playlist create from Rotation limit of [60] (Assume its set because it's beta)

- In Audio Processing Stereo Enhancer has a default of Zero but defaults to 1.
- Loading a single track doesn't have a Use ID3 Data [checkbox] (Come to think of it neither did 2.0.1.5)

Nice Work Marius :cool:

Cheers

Sorry I had an earlier post about the Request Tab Icon selections seem to be not working however, I see it was due to the skin (Army)  I chose. It did not show when a button was selected. I went back to the default color scheme and confirmed this.

If I exported individual DB tables to use for a fresh install, what is better .csv or .sql?

I think sometimes transferring databases can cause problems so I'm wondering if the data can be transferred to prevent DB errors.

I know the columns must match

I want to know the best route to move a database from an older installation to any of the newer ones. Sometime the update DB doesn't seem to be without some problems

Marius, you've written another incredible version of RDJ. I'm recommending it to my Facebook radio groups! :cool:

I loaded in 2.0.1.6 on Sunday morning and did a clean install. I had it on line by Sunday night and it is working almost without fault!

I posted this note regarding the TTS not changing voices. I have the same problem with the new version, too. It worked with 2.0.1.2 and I loaded the same TTS files in to the update and it only plays Microsoft David voice.

Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance!

Hi Chip, I have solved with this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Table>
  <Settings>
  <Tracks2Speak>2</Tracks2Speak>
      </Settings>
  <Message>
    <Voice>Microsoft Zira Desktop</Voice>

    <tts>On Funky Corner Radio it's $now-hour$ and $now-minute$ minutes now, and we are listening to $artist$, $title$. Enjoy!</tts>
  </Message>
  <Message>
    <Voice>Microsoft Zira Desktop</Voice>
    <tts>Well, it's nice to have you with us, and you are still listening to Funky Corner Radio! That's great! Now, we are listening to $artist$, $title$!</tts>
  </Message>
  <Message>
    <Voice>Microsoft Zira Desktop</Voice>
    <tts>Now, we will listen to $artist$, right here on Funky Corner Radio, stay tuned for more great black music from 70s and 80s!</tts>
  </Message> etc. etc.

where "2" stands for every two songs which don't have set intro, if you want you can put "1". Note that on my Microsoft I have only Elsa (who is horrible) and Zira. But I use TTS only for testing.

@Marius,

Is this a Release or a Beta Release? :o
Normally Beta's are placed in "Beta Versions Releases".
little bit confusing ::)

And when will there be another Real Release?

Well I did a fresh install, everything seems to work fine. Then I imported a 2015 DB and everything looks good however the Rotations do not work. I guess I will rebuild them and try that.

Hmmm, I created a brand new Rotation and still got nothing.

Done some more tests, Created a new database fresh import of songs and bar a few hiccups to begin with due to settings not being set right things seem to be OK now

I really wanted to use the database from v2.0.0.6 but IF I have to start a fresh to eliminate these artist repeat issues then so be it... Although I would lose 5 years hard work if I was forced to rebuild my database again.

Marius, Why don't 2.0.1.6 bring over the rotations from 2.0.1.5? Is there a patch you could put out to help with this? If there is, Thanks!  😁

Try running this query through your favorite MySQL/MariaDB management tool:

update rotations_list set mood='---',gender='---',language='---' where mood='Any';

Ofcourse make a backup first, it's all on your own risk, etc etc

I just ran into a problem with my fresh install for v2.0.1.6.

In one specific file I've loaded, only part of the music files show up. The rest show they "already exist" but I can't find them. I've tried optimizing and repairing the data base. I've even tried deleting the file and re-installing it under a different name, but they still show up as "already exist." They are not showing up as disabled.

Any suggestions on how to find them or how I can load them in. As I said, it is just this one specific category where it happens. Everything else installed perfectly.

Help please! TIA

<EDIT>
I sort of resolved the problem by copying all of the songs in that file and inserted the copies into the same file. Then I deleted all of the original song files. It was quick and dirty, but it works. I would sure like to find a fix that's not so drastic because I'm sure the original files are lurking in the program somewhere... :huh:

Hi CHip, Your msg is confusing. Did you mean to write "In one specific FOLDER I've IMPORTED", or "In one specific Category I've IMPORTED into" ?

Well I've had my database upgraded (Thanks) although after restoring I still had to redo my rotations again.

I've performed a few tests with rotations so far & I don't have the tracks repeating themselves in the playlist when a rotation loads, However on first load of the rotation it tends to ignore requests that are in the request queue, its only when tracks start loading at the end of the queue do the requests get inserted correctly.

I will do some more testing tomorrow when I get chance. But things are looking better with 2016 than they were.

:ok:

It's a pity though this change. It prevents a smooth update from 2.0.1.5 to 2.0.1.6 and also it makes a downgrade impossible. This because previous versions now don't work with the 'new' rotations anymore.

I've checked this because my normal procedure is to test a new version first on a database copy, and when it works without detected problems, I'm using it in a shadow environment that uses the production database. So my production database is upgraded but connected to with an old version for production purposes, and I'm running the new version against the same database in a shadow environment (non critical).

@Marius: If this behaviour is kept in future versions (the "new" rotation definition) and backwards compatibility is broken, you might as well get rid of the UpdateTracks procedure that isn't used anymore...
Title: Re: RadioDJ v2.0.1.6 Beta Released!
Post by: Chip Douglas Mosley on June 21, 2019, 12:56:08 AM
Sorry stevewa, I meant to say category.

I put 160 songs into this category. When I went to look at what was there, it only showed 73 titles. I tried putting the same songs into that same category a second time, and every song said ALREADY EXISTS. It still shows the same 73 songs. I tried putting in a missing song but it still didn't show up.

What I eventually did was copy all the songs in that category then put them back into the same category so that songs showed up as -copy. Then I deleted the songs in that category that didn't show as -copy. All of the 160 songs now display in that category and they all display as -copy.

It's a strange way to fix the problem, but it works. I'm just afraid that those songs that I deleted are in the still lurking in the program somewhere.

Well things appear to be working as they should, NOTHING showing up in error logs, Rotations loading songs as they should load into the queue.

Going to upgrade my partners install to 2016 over the weekend. Now I know the database is fine etc...

I just need to restore a backup and a relocate tracks and that should work just fine too.

Spent most of the weekend testing and testing again. There are no showstoppers AFAIK.

I'm running a fresh install then imported the DB from a 2.0.1.5 version I did run both the updates 2.0.0.6 and 2.0.1.5 to 2.0.1.6 for each

The rotations would not work but when I ran this: update rotations_list set mood='---',gender='---',language='---' where mood='Any'; and whala! the rotations begin to work.

After running over the weekend here are logs that have appeared. Hope it helps with pin pointing possible issues. These are 3 different stations, I added them for my own sake. The fourth station which is 50% podcast driven had no issues yet.

(Win7 64bit 4GB ram all SSD drives running 4 stations on the same PC with 5 sound cards)

I'm noticing on multiple installations of this version that when using Variable Duration File setting, the file plays a few times and at some point the file gets marked Disabled and of course it never plays again until it's re-enabled.

Marius,  In testing RadioDJ 2.0.1.6 I found that when I select  "Reset Playcount For The Selected Subcategory" in the TRACKS MANAGER it does nothing.  I finally have to select all tracks and click on "Reset Playcount For The Selected Files."

When I check the Event Viewer the following error is displayed each time I click "Reset Playcount For The Selected Subcategory."
Database Insert Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near 'NOW(), `songs` SET `count_played` = '0' WHERE `id_subcat` = 6' at line 1 (UPDATE `date_modified` = NOW(), `songs` SET `count_played` = '0' WHERE `id_subcat` = 6;)

It seems to be only that reset, as the others work without error.

This is not an issue in 2.0.1.5.  The 2.0.1.6 database is an update from 2.0.1.5.

Marius,

I like the new Associated Artist field that allows you to add other artists to the field in the track editor. Such as having a Beatles song, and being allowed to add John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr so they then comply to the Artist Repeat Rule and not play any of those artists immediately after a Beatles track.

Would you have the box "Populate only where no values are found" automatically checked by default.  This will eliminate deleting any special artists that may be set up since this has to be ran each time after adding new tracks to have them comply with the Artist Repeat Rule.

And just for convenience, could you add a way to apply this while you are in the Track Manager.

Thanks for the GREAT software,
Wayne

Sorry if this should have been added to the "Future Request" board, but since the Associated Artist field is NEW in 2.0.1.6, I thought maybe this is just a TWEEK Request.   ;)

Well the testing this past few days appears to be going swimmingly well since I ran the associated artists feature I haven't had any songs/artists repeating like I had been seeing with previous beta versions...

It'll be tested on a different PC this weekend to see if the same still applies. But I can't see anything that would stop me in my tracks.

Jhonny means to change what RadioDJ outputs.  You need to go into the options (wrench/spanner) and select Options > Stream Titles Tab.

You can erase what is output for each track type there. Be sure to hit the save button after each change.

I have found though that this method only works until RadioDJ is re-started (at least in 2.0.0.3, maybe it's been since fixed?) and then you will need to do the whole process all over again.  Instead I change the field outputted to something I know is unused & blank.  (I use the $Original_Artist$ field.)

I think you can also accomplish what you want to do by going to Configuration/Plug-Ins, click on the Now Playing Info plug-in, then go to filters. There's a list of categories to display. Just uncheck the ones you don't want. I leave mine set to show music and commercials and everything else is unchecked.

Hope it works for you!

I've not noticed much artist repetition and I've been looking back on my last weeks worth of songs.

Where there are songs/artists that have played together its because we programmed them into the playlist manually but other than that. RadioDJ is usually pretty good at not playing a repeated artist here so ...

It looks like there's still the same issue when you have an event where you start a song then play a cart. The volume of the song is not being lowered while the cart plays. It works fine in 2.0.0.6.

I thought I may have read it somewhere before, but can't find it now...

Successfully installed latest version and updated database.

However, I do have to completely rebuild all my rotations as they don't load properly into the playlist (haven't checked events yet).  This is going from 2.0.0.6 to 2.0.1.6 . (had to do the same when going from 1.8 to 2.0, but I think that was already known due to some category changes).

Is that to be expected for everyone?

Strange issue cropped up this morning that hasn't happened for a few days.

It keeps trying to insert songs that have just played at the bottom of the playlist (Keeping 20 songs in queue) nothing showing in error logs apart from the "no requests" notice.

I've done a database repair I've restarted and I'm not sure why its doing this my rotations were rebuilt a while ago and weren't having this issue until now with 2016 Beta.
Its baffling me  :bash:

Are the date played fields of the tracks (that have just been played and then re-inserted) updated? That'd be the first thing I'd do to check: does RadioDJ "know" that the tracks have been played (and it does that by looking at the "date played" fields).

If that isn't updated, it could be that your UpdateTracks2 procedure is failing somehow...

Must just have been a blip because  its not done it since I posted and I've been keeping a close eye on things... its only done it on the one song Jon & Vangelis I have the associated artist fields filled in and that's been working OK as far as I can see just one blip but it still could be something.

Yes the date played field had updated on the track so it definitely bamboozling me as what happened.

Seems we've got a problem, possible a BUG, with REST plug-in in 2.0.1.6. REST cannot modify the playlist by inserting new track, even if you try accomplish that by running an event via REST command.

I described this problem here: https://www.radiodj.ro/community/index.php?topic=13272.0 (https://www.radiodj.ro/community/index.php?topic=13272.0) because i thought that I was doing something wrong.

Its just trying to put Freddie Mercury into the queue as part of a Duet (Freddie Mercury And Montserrat Caballe) yet he's only just played as a solo artist no matter what I do the duet still tries sneaking into the queue.

Then Jaki Graham played with David Grant only for another Jaki Graham song to try and enter the queue also... its puzzled me to say the least. I've re-ran the associated artists feature but that's helped little.

Tomorrow is another day and another rotation I will see if it exhibits this behaviour with my Oldies rotation tomorrow. but somethings amiss somewhere.

Shouldn't this topic be put in the board named "Beta Versions Releases" ?

and shouldn't each "bug" that people discover have it's own topic posting, so the bugs can be isolated into individual fixes, so it is not added onto this announcement of the beta release, and making this topic thread very unorganized?

I did a post earlier but wasn't about an issue sure so i deleted the post... However.
RadioDJ appears to be putting artists at the bottom of the queue who have just played or even currently playing. Not quite sure what's going on but its doing it with a rotation that I deleted and started afresh.. AFAIK its only doing it on this rotation, I will test with another rotation tomorrow (I'd do it today but its way to hot to concentrate)
Even ran a repair on the Database & then upgraded to the latest MariaDB but its made little or no difference. Its certainly a strange one.

Could the contents of the new database column (associated artists) give any clues? Just look ofcourse at the first and second time that artist is played.

Yes I've ran Associated Artists on my database I did that as soon as the beta was released..

It happened at least 3 times in total yesterday while we had it open for over 15 hours. The played date is changing when a song plays. One song that repeated itself yesterday was a request, we had Dusty Springfield pop back into the queue after the song had played as a request..

I've checked everything I can think of and even with my experience of RadioDJ even I'm at a loss. Doing some more observations today.

Hmmm! Its a little bit strange.

Yes, but look into the database (HeidiSQL) at the contents of the associated artists field. If you can, post results here. Maybe it gives a clue.

Yes the associated artist columns are populated. Its just filling that field with the artist name(s) in lower case, is that likely to affect things?

I've looked at the database several times I don't think that's the culprit here.

If that's not what you mean then I'm at a loss.

Any idea why the associated artist field is removing the "&" sign from the artist name. e.g. Smokey Robinson & The Miracles shows as smokey robinson,the miracles.

Because you have the "&" sign as a seperator. So when you have "George Michael & Elton John" both "George Michael" and "Elton John" are tagged as artists that have been played.

Yes the associated artist columns are populated. Its just filling that field with the artist name(s) in lower case, is that likely to affect things?

I've looked at the database several times I don't think that's the culprit here.

If that's not what you mean then I'm at a loss.
No that's what I meant. The thought was that maybe the population didn't go well.

We'll call it an intermittent issue...

Its not done it today its stuck to the rotation rules, although it seemed to ignore a couple of requests in the request queue even though its been a while since those artist & songs played I checked play dates.

Its going to be one of those things that we probably couldn't explain even if we could.

I got an artist being repeated within 30 minutes even though my repeat rules is set to 180 minutes. The first song was loaded using an event with the repeat rules box checked. The second song was loaded using a rotation with the repeat rules also checked off.

After a few more days testing the artist repetitions problem is very much an intermittent problem its not happened today but it did happen on the past couple of days.

All the tracks so far today have stuck to the rotation/artist rules and there is no clue to go on as nothing is reported in error logs when it does occur.

Its painful not being able to say this causes it or that causes it... We need to call Sherlock Holmes!

Hi, but the problem with the sweepers has been solved, if I insert a sweeper and then I remove it it continues to work like never?

Another noted issue I have is when I want to skip the current song, the program fades the current song as it's supposed to and then hangs for 1-3 seconds before actually started the next song.

I have the manual mix fade set to 250ms (I've tested with shorter and longer times but same result)

I hope some can help out with this matter :)

I'm not having that issue. Are you using MySQL or MariaSQL.

So far this beta is working extremely well.  One issue I'm having though, is when I type in the search bar within the Playlist Builder, the text lags behind.  It doesn't happen in the Tracks Manager or the main program, only in the Playlist Builder.
It isn't happening in the last official release, not sure why this is.

There have been a number of changes in the queries that RDJ sends - there are differences in behaviour in other scenarios too (what I noticed was a problem with ProxySQL that I use; the latest version 2.0.6 of it doesn't behave well with the RDJ Beta's, while it works without a problem on the last official release).

I think pointing out that in a certain area (in your case Trackmanager) it seems to lag helps Marius to see if either a change he made there is cause for this, or maybe he didn't alter that part yet.

Requests don't appear to be sticking to repeat rules I have my artist separation at 300 and Erasure has just played yet its trying to stick a request by them into the queue. I have repeat rules ticked on requests in my rotations.

I've noticed that since testing on Saturday, the repeat rules seem to be ignored if re-starting the program. E.g. A track played 20 mins after the same track having restarted RadioDJ but when left running, when I've done spot checks on it, it seems to be obeying the rules.

This next point is probably unconnected but since upgrading from Beta 2.0.1.5 and running the database update file, I only had to recreate the rotations. Interestingly, if it tried to load an "old" rotation, the playlist would be blank and then if then trying to load a "new" rotation after it went blank, it still would not do so even after manually trying to clear the (empty) list unless you re-started RadioDJ where re-starting allowed the new rotation(s) to load ok.
After recreating all the rotations, it has been loading them all ok.

v2.0.1.6 - Win7

Never noticed it until a few days ago, but when using the Track Manager, the Reset Playcount for the selected subcategory does not work.

Future request:

Would love to see the Year added to the Rotation selection filter. this would make it easy to pull songs from the selected Subcategory based on year too (I'm a BDS radio station and this would help me and others a great deal).

I see we can use an Event Action to reset the Playcount for ALL files, would be nice to also have the option to do it for a selected Subcategory.

Double posting won't get you an answer any quicker

It is not double posting the first is what is supposed to give the information in the making of the playlist the second is what the least gives me after installing version 2.1.6
wouldn't let me submit the second image in the same post.
Alert is this in version 2.1.6 that installs on the PC the Playlist builder menu is different missing options :( :( :( >:(

Can you stop picking faults with members and their posts please Calypso I'm finding your replies extremely rude and curt.... If you can't join in in a positive way then don't log on at all.

Yes he's posted in two places but it happens all the time on here. Some people aren't used to how some forums run.

I don't want to be rude at all, just trying to help people. Double posting has been criticized by moderators like you before - what is different in pointing out by a "normal user"? When I try to help people out, it's annoying for everybody to see same posts turning up several times.

But you can delete the posts that you find "extremely rude" in your opinion, just like you're deleting other posts that are not convenient for you. Again: I don't want to be rude at all, just trying to help out, but if it's not appreciated...

I would like you to understand the two images posted are different the first is an image taken from the internet where it indicates the menu that supposedly should present in the creation of a playlist the second is an image of my radio dj latest version and the menu is not the same missing options in the menu
Do you understand now?
Is this real or is my version that I downloaded from the site wrong?
I have already installed it on other machines and the options menu is still missing

Today I needed to register a streaming to put it in the middle of the rotation of the songs in order to make simultaneous with another radio and Radio DJ 2.01.6 can not register the streaming
I tried several and no entries to play
Streaming Examples
http://radiodbosco.myftp.biz:8000/radio

Other
http://centova.radio.com.pt:8467/;

Other

https://radio3.pro-fhi.net:19078/stream

http://64.40.99.2:8088

don't find any

use maria Db in the database

will it be from here?

Has Marius already tested?
Is friend DJ Garybaldy also tested?

Will it be something from some plugins

I appeal to Marius to look into this problem

Grateful

Problem solved the error that I had not to register the streamings was a cause of translation ie the translation to my language locked the options. I used the English language and I can register the streamings normally
Grateful for the concern of some friends who tried to give me tips and advice

I used RadioDJ V2.0.1.6 beta over the holidays for my Christmas programming and it was a treat.  I wanted to go all Christmas with special jingles, IDs and Features from Noon Christmas Eve and return to regular music and imaging Boxing Day at 9 PM while I was away.   I went through all my events and had them divided into Default, then regular programming, and Christmas Programming categories.  I left the default Event Categories for my Manual Event Triggers.  I had a Manual event that triggered all of my regular events to be disabled and activated the Christmas Programming setting Christmas Rotations, Top Hour IDs, Jingles, Features etc enabled.  This approach saved me from disabling each station event off and on etc from the past.  It was pure Magic while I was away. I also used the Manual events within the Top and Bottom Hour IDs in the "Other" section of the Tracks EVENT  so the Christmas Ids fired followed by a Christmas Feature and special Christmas Music Selection in the track's Start and End events feature and various Christmas Programming.    When I returned I looked through the reports and it was 100 percent error free.

The only bug, which I think has been reported already was the "Reset Play Count" doesn't work from an event trigger, nor track manager but it does work from the Utilities main tab.

Kudos Marius! :cool:

With all due respect, why start with a release 2.0.1.6 when the rest don't even meet a release. It's just confusion. That's what 2.0.0.7 & 2.0.0.9 Release 2.0.0.6 turns out to be the only thing that's really running right now.

For you it may be confusion, but it's preventing confusion for others. If you speak of 2.0.1.6 you know you're talking about a beta release. There won't be a final one for that version.

It's just a choice - I've seen on other software that it just causes confusion when you first put out a 2.0.1.5 beta in public and then a final 2.0.1.5, because people would first ask when you report a problem if it's the beta or the final you've used.
