Its coming up to 5 years since we first decided to try MariaDB. June 2014 when someone mentioned they were using it alongside RDJ.

Its been 5 years of incredible stability and no hassle. RadioDJ and MariaDB are a marriage made in heaven.

I sit back day after day letting the software do its own thing along with some well placed requests with the (custom) web-script I have.

We use MariaDB for our VPS databases too and that's very rarely offline if at all.

I presume everyone else using MariaDB is also having a pain free automation experience? Here's to the next hassle free 5/10 years!

Yes, i find it myself more stable. I'm testing the program on both MySQL and MariaDB and i was somehow disappointed by the changes in the v8+.

MySQL is "Oraclefied", just like the rest that came out of the acquisition of Sun Microsystems (the servers, the clients, Java...)
All potentially good and stable products that are more and more bloatware and making strange design/implementation choices.
